Oyster Bar & Restaurant Ellenabeich

The Oyster Bar & Restaurant is a family run business located in the beautiful and historic village of Ellenabeich, Easdale, approximately 16 miles south of Oban on the West Coast of Argyll.

We are situated in the historic village of Ellenabeich, where you can enjoy our seating in the village square and soak up views over to the Isle of Mull. We also have a breath-taking rear seating area which looks across the Atlantic taking in views of the islands of Scarba and Jura to name but two of the many islands seen from this superb vantage point.

A one-time micro-brewery was located next door to the current premises, however all brewing stopped in 2008.

In addition to our menu we offer a variety of regionally sourced Scottish Real Ales, Malt Whisky’s, Scottish Gins and wines for our customers which are selected to complement our menu and the local setting.

We would like to take this opportunity to offer a warm welcome to everyone and we look forward to meeting all of our customers during the coming season.

Menu

Our menu is seasonal and our ingredients are primarily locally sourced and fresh. It features a great selection of local shellfish and local meat with Seil landed creel caught langoustines supplied by Easdale Seafoods and locally farmed beef just 5 miles away from Auchnasaul Farm. We have a selection for Vegetarian and Vegan diets and have been praised for being able to offer substitutions for those requiring food to be Gluten Free on much of our menu.

Alongside our popular seafood offerings, we have a wide variety of choice to cater for everyone’s tastes with good homemade ‘pub grub’ favourites in the mix.

PLEASE NOTE – our sample menus are from the summer and our winter menu although similar, has less selection. Please contact us directly for any questions on menu items that may be missing throughout the winter months.

Called in for a cuppa and a sarni.. 4 of us. One has soup, one had baked spud, one had mussells i had a sandwich cullen combo. This wasca ham and cheese sandwich with a bowk of cullen skink. Smoked haddock stew. God that was tasty. Lovely people running the place. Good prices. Comfortable seating. A must if your in the area. I will hasten to add that although the mussells was starter size it was a fair pot full and locally fished

Very welcoming to both humans and hounds. Had an early light lunch and were delighted to find we were encouraged to bring my two dogs in(who mercifully behaved themselves). Staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t fault the service or food and dogs were made a fuss off!!! Will definitely be back in the future.
